ATLANTA (GA) – The Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR) will honor the Resource Development Team of Warner Robins, Georgia at the 2007 Public Employee Recognition Week Awards Luncheon. The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. at the Freight Depot located at 65 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, in Atlanta, Georgia. DHR’s Commissioner, as well as the Executive Management Team will present the awards.
"The Resource Development Team of Warner Robins is an exemplary illustration of camaraderie at its best," said Division of Family and Children’s Services Director Mary Dean Harvey. "Our employees are the backbone of our organization, and we are proud to recognize these individuals for their exemplary leadership."
The Resource Development Team of Warner Robins consists of Adrian Askew, Carol Brown, Rose Chambers, Joyce Handy, Jill Holder, Cindi Lundy, Heidi Stollonwerk, and Leah Waters. These individuals have exemplified leadership through exciting activities and maintaining relationships throughout the state. Through their joint efforts, this team has produced several homes for children. The team serves as a role model for others and truly embraces the "it takes a community to raise a child" motto.
The Georgia Public Employee Recognition Week was re-instituted in 2001 in an effort to recognize the outstanding accomplishments and commitment of state of Georgia employees . It is administered under the leadership of the Georgia Merit System, in conjunction with state agencies and departments. The success of Georgia government is dependent upon the efforts of its dedicated and committed employees. To honor and recognize state employees for their unique and diverse achievements, innovative ideas and dedicated service, various events will be held throughout the week of May 7-11, 2007 at the state and agency level.
